Top Canadian Singles Tennis Players in the Open Era

Here is the list of all the Canadian professional singles tennis players who have been ranked in the top 100 in the Open Era and the dates that they achieved their highest ranking. This list is fluid and will continually change – and is most likely incomplete, as it was like trying to find a needle in a haystack on data about Canadian tennis players. It is interesting to note that most of the entries are as a result of Canada’s first wave of success in singles tennis in the 1980s and early 1990s. Since then, Canada has had sprinkles of success until the results of Canada’s Golden Age of tennis began to kick in, in the early 2010s.

This is a short list compared to the historical results of the United States, Australia, Great Britain, France, Germany and the Czech Republic, given their deep roots in the game. Considering Canada’s relatively short history in the game, this is a respectably long list – one that will continue to grow as Canada is in the middle of its Golden Age of tennis.
