11/5/2014 0 Comments Good Riddance Eve AdamsWhen I heard the news that entitled politician Eve Adams of Ontario was giving up her fight to run in the race for the riding of Oakville-North Burlington in Ontario due to health concerns, I really couldn’t believe it. Entitled people (especially politicians) rarely give up so easily. It was especially surprising because politicians only stop feeding on purpose at the public trough if they a) are booted out of office or b) die. Even after they are booted out of office, their snouts remain in the public trough because of the ridiculously bloated pension plans they receive.
Entitled Adams was the poster girl for entitled politicians in Canada – right up there with Mike Duffy and Pamela Wallin and the rest of the Canadian Senate. Entitled Adams rose to new heights of entitlement – trying to bully her way into a riding that wasn’t even hers to begin with, a riding that was more of a safe bet than the one she won in the last election. Even her also entitled husband was forced to resign as executive director of the Conservative party when it was perceived that he was using his position to help entitled Adams get into the new riding. Like most entitled people, entitled Adams thinks that she is above the law and above the level-headed public decorum that most normal people adhere to. Although it was the riding issue that most political wags latched onto as the reason for her downfall, the incident that regular folk will point to as the tipping point of her fall and the height of her crass entitlement is her gas station meltdown. Fortunately, this incident was videotaped and now serves as a video example of what entitled people do and what goes through their heads as they bludgeon their entitlement over the heads of innocent people. Intentionally blocking traffic because you don’t get your own way? Fail. http://www.thestar.com/news/canada/2014/04/02/stephen_harper_asks_conservatives_to_investigate_mp_eve_adams_behaviour.html Much like election night, when vilified and hopelessly inept politicians get booted out of office, the failure of entitled Adams to try and remain in her entitled position is a victory for the electors of this country. Also, much like the ousting of Rob Anders, there is also a certain sense of being able to breathe a little easier, no matter where you are in the country. Their one way tunnel vision entitlement suffocates the election process, democracy and the people in office who are legitimately trying to make a difference through public office (of which there are very few). They don’t care about the people they represent. They are simply in it for themselves and nobody else. That is a huge crime against democracy. People like entitled Adams do not belong in public office. They simple stink it up even more. Good riddance.
